I suffer quite bad RSI so work got me some new office equipment to try to help relieve the pain. I angled for a new Herman Miller Aeron chair in the deal but the $1K price tag was a bit over the top is was deemed. :)

But anyway I got one of these new 3m – apparently it is more natural to hold your hand in that position than the traditional mouse position.

I have to say, some weeks on now, it is a bit of a struggle. I think I have got too adept at the normal mouse that the efficiency drop is too hard to deal with.

And the big thing for me is the scroll wheel – this joystick mouse has it on the inside of your thumb. You click with your thumb and then move your mouse to scroll. It’s far too difficult for me and I never realised how much I use that little scrolly wheel.

Anyway I will persevere for a while yet – until I think my manager won’t notice if it isn’t there anymore :)
